The Blizzard of 2017

The winter of 2016-17 was fairly uneventful. Temperatures were not too extreme - at least on the cold end.  We seemed to have some mild spells every few weeks in January, February and early March.  Temperatures climbed into the 60's and low 70's the last full week of February. It looked like spring was going to be early this year.  But along about the middle of March things took a turn for the worse.  Winter Weather Warnings for up to 2 feet of snow! This was the real deal!

We received about 2' at the farm with other areas just to our north receiving over 30 inches.  Alissa, Ben and Lee had to shovel off the lower part of the barn roof.  The rear snowblower on the New Holland tractor got a real workout.  Ben took some pictures of the storm on his phone.
